The buses are very comfortable and luxurious compared to the ones found all over India with 2+1 and 2+2 seating arrangement, A/C, Videocoaches etc.

From Guwahati you can go to Shillong in the nearby Meghalaya state which is a four Hour Journey by Bus or Tata Sumo through Hilly Terrain. The various parks, waterfalls and View from the hilltops of the valley are sights that will remain encrypted in your mind and brain for sure.

After returning back to Guwahati, next you can think of visiting the Kaziranga National Park which is almost 5 hours journey from Guwahati by Bus.From there you can visit the Eastern Assam by going through the places in Golaghat, Jorhat, Sibsagar, dibrugarh, Tinsukia etc. While coming back through the National Highway ask for the way to Tezpur and you can have a look of this historic and romantic city. If you have any doubt, you can ask ex-Union Minister K.P. SingDeo who belongs to Orissa ( his parents wanted a child and visited Kamakhya Temple and prayed here and soon they had their Child...whom they gave the name Kamakhya Prasad Sing Deo !!!).
